Ardythe Weiss

Ardythe "Ardy" Weiss, 89, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, April 12, 2024 at Pioneer Senior Cottages in Fergus Falls.

Ardythe Ione Larson was born September 5, 1934 to Earl and Edythe Larson in Pelican Rapids, MN. Ardy grew up in Pelican Rapids where she attended school, graduating in 1952.

On June 9, 1954, Ardy married Ronald "Ron" Weiss, her husband of 68 years, at Faith Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids. The couple started their life together in Erhard. Over the years they lived in Morris, Underwood, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and returning finally to Fergus Falls.

She worked as a bookkeeper at Underwood Co-op Creamery, Arneson Larson Milton, and Ugstad Plumbing and Heating. Her joy was homemaking and crafts. Her love languages were doing things for others, hospitality, and sending cards and letters. Ron was the love of her life and constant companion. Jesus was the love of her soul and Savior.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Ronald Weiss; her parents, Earl and Edythe Larson, and brother, David Larson.

Ardy is survived by her children, Jennifer (Miles) McAllister of Moorhead and Steven (Becky) Weiss of Tigard, OR; grandchildren, Michael McAllister and wife, Katie Allen of Harpers Ferry, WV and Rochelle Luthy and husband, Brandon of Tigard, OR; sister, Verona Elhardt; nephews, Kevin, Kraig, Kory, and Lon; nieces, Kalie, Vickie, Connie, and Holly, and numerous loved ones.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2024 at Life Church in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Clergy: Reverend Larry Gunther and Reverend Kevin McClure

Interment: Bagstevold Cemetery, rural Erhard, MN
