Ardys D. Brensike

Ardys D. Brensike, 88, died June 6, 2019, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.

Ardys Darlene (Olson) Brensike was born on November 14, 1930, in Two Inlets Township, Becker County, MN to Victor and Martha (Hemmerich) Olson. She was baptized as an infant at home on her parent’s farm and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Park Rapids. She attended Arago grade school and then Park Rapids High School. After attending Minneapolis Business College, she was employed at General Mills and later at the U.S. Probation Office in Minneapolis.

On June 13, 1953, Ardys married Daniel Brensike at Arago. They lived in Rosendale, WI, St. Paul, St. Cloud, and West Fargo until moving to Fergus Falls in 1964. Daniel was employed as a federal veterinary meat inspector while Ardys was a homemaker and raising her family. She later worked at Lake Region Hospital in Personnel, Payroll Department and Human Resources Department. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Ardys enjoyed cooking for family and friends, traveling, reading, Bible Study and Circle at Bethlehem Church.

Ardys was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel and sister, Lois Peterson.

She is survived by four sons, David of Alexandria, Raymond of Renton,WA, Douglas of Fergus Falls and Robert of Detroit Lakes; one daughter, Gail (Stewart) Willcutt of Alamogordo, NM; brother, Vic (Bette) Olson, Roseburg, OR; granddaughter, Karen Goodwin of Alexandria and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2019, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, MN
