Annette Elaine Aagren, 73, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
She was born February 26, 1940, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank M. and Amelia (Weinrich) Rowe. She attended school in Ashby, graduating in 1958. She worked at Runningen’s Café and the Skogmo Café in Fergus Falls.
On June 25, 1960, she married Wallace Aagren in Ashby, Minnesota. They lived in Minneapolis where she worked for four years, and their two sons were born. The family moved to Fergus Falls in 1974, where she worked for School District #544 in the hot lunch program until her retirement due to health reasons.
She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, where she participated in WELCA and the sewing ladies, and was currently a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens and Sons of Norway. Through the years she has been a faithful Minnesota Twins fan.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Wally, on December 26, 2011, and two half-brothers, Gerald and Harold.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Aagren and Brent Aagren, both of Fergus Falls; her siblings: Robert (Judy) Rowe of Brooklyn Park, MN, Francis (Elaine) Rowe of Poway, CA, Marilyn Nagel of Fergus Falls, and Richard Rowe of Merrimack, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the Broen Home.
Service: 1 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls
Clergy: Chaplain Ken Austin and Reverend Nancy Eldredge Hess
Interment: Knollwood Memorial Gardens in Fergus Falls.
