Alma Anna Supernois, 92, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
Alma was born on May 6, 1921 in Friberg Township, MN the daughter of Albert and Helen (Drechsel) Ladwig. She grew up in Friberg Township and attended country school at District #115 and #208. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she remained a lifelong member. During her younger years she helped at various farms and that is where she met her future husband, Gordon Supernois.
On October 6, 1940, she married Gordon Supernois at the Immanuel Lutheran Church parsonage. The couple operated a dairy farm in Friberg Township, where they lived until 1996 when they moved to Fergus Falls. She was a farm wife and in later years enjoyed babysitting her great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was active in Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed being involved with her children with their 4H projects and at the fair, gardening, cooking, sewing and doing puzzles. Alma also enjoyed music and played the piano and accordion. Gordon and Alma also made maple syrup and raised geese, ducks and chickens.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Gordon, who died in 1997; and a sister, Darlene Zuehlsdorff and her husband Ray.
Survivors include her four children, Janice Luehring, Twyla (Tom) Halverson, Glenda (Laurel) Anderson, and Gary Supernois all of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Kenneth and Teresa Luehring, Katherine and Theodore Stark, Matthew Luehring, Deatte and Larry Williams, Michael and Teresa Hoeper, Jr., Wendy Halverson, Cory Hoeper, Heather Anderson, Halei Anderson, Gail and Kent Hedstrom; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rose (Donald) Auseth of Fergus Falls.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 with a 6:30 public prayer service at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Fergus Falls.
