Alice E. Lattman, 95, a resident of Fergus Falls, passed on to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, May 6, 2007, at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls. She was born on April 5, 1912 at the family homestead in Saum, Minnesota, the daughter of Theodor and Carrie (Nielsen) Knutson. She grew up in Saum and went to Saum Consolidated School. Later, the family moved to Middle River, MN, where they farmed. In 1930, she worked in Mankato and Crookston doing hotel work. In 1939, she married Lawrence Lindholm and lived in Thief River Falls. The couple had two children; Morris Lindholm and Sandra (Lindholm) Falenschek. The couple later divorced. In 1956 she re-married. Alice and her second husband, Harry C. Lattman of Deer Creek had one child, Donald W. Lattman. Alice enjoyed baking and was known for her famous apple pie. She like to garden and enjoyed family gatherings and traveling. She was very talented in embroidery, knitting and crocheting. Preceding her in death were her grandparents Elling and Ingeborg Knutson and Baried and Anna Nielsen, all from Norway; her parents; son, Donald W. Lattman; brothers, Elling, Guy, Fred, and Arthur Knutson; sister, Grace (Knutson) Quamme; and her husband Harry Lattman, who died in 2000; and step son, Jerry (Dee) Lattman. Survivors include her children, Morris (Dee) Lindholm of Fergus Falls, Sandra (Dennis) Falenschek of Fergus Falls; three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gladys Holmstrom of Thief River Falls and Mildred Dahl of Crookston. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the Broen Home. Service: 1 p.m. Thursday at the Light and Life Auditorium at the Broen Memorial Home. Clergy: Reverend Brent Murphy and Chaplain Ken Austin. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Oak Dale Cemetery in Crookston, MN.
