Agnes Leitch

Agnes Martha Helene (Drevlow) Leitch, 93, a resident of Fergus Falls, died peacefully Monday, February 25, 2008, at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls, MN. She was born September 19, 1914, near Long Prairie, Minnesota, the daughter of Otto Carl and Alvina Helene Sophia (Schmidt) Asmus. She grew up in Long Prairie Township of Todd County. On November 30, 1937, she married Hubert Friedrich Ferdinand Drevlow. Together they lived in Round Prairie Township where they farmed and raised their family. Following Hubert's death in 1966, Agnes attended Alexandria Technical College, and moved to Fergus Falls in 1968 where she spent many years working at Lake Region Hospital. She was briefly married to Stafford Leitch. Agnes was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. She enjoyed needlework, music and reading - especially history. For the past several years she has enjoyed books on tape. Through the years she enjoyed being a caregiver for her grandchildren and delighted in each and every one. Preceding her in death were her husband, Hubert; her parents, a brother Henry, and a sister, Edna Becker. Survivors include her children, Myron (Nadine) Drevlow of Upsala, and Connie (Al) Seltz of Fergus Falls; her sisters, Hannah Drevlow of Long Prairie and Alvina Truog of Newton, KS; three grandchildren, Peter (Sarah Lynn) Seltz of Plymouth,MN, Sarah Beth (Rod) Starkey of Bemidji, and Tom (Stephanie) Seltz of Arlington, VA; and six great-grandchildren, Maria, Sophia, and Lillianna Seltz; Sam and McKenzie Starkey; and Henry Seltz.
