Agnes Martha (Hainline) Bussian, 100, a resident of Fergus Falls, and formerly of South Dakota, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. She was born May 6, 1908, in Ordway, South Dakota, the daughter of John E. and Josephine (Kruse) Hainline. She grew up in Westport, South Dakota, graduating from school there. On October 16, 1926, she married Herbert H. Bussian in Britton, SD. He died in 1970. She worked at Engler North Side Variety Store, which later became Jones Drug, as a sales clerk until the time of her retirement in 1980. She married Martin J. Bussian on September 15, 1980, in Carrington, ND. He died on January 5, 1986. In 2002 she entered the Pioneer Senior Cottages in Fergus Falls, MN. Agnes was a lifelong member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, and was currently a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She loved life, and entertaining and cooking for family and friends brought her much joy. She especially loved spending time with her family. Preceding her in death were her husbands, Herbert and Martin; her son, Royce “Ozzie” Bussian; one brother and three sisters; her granddaughter, Dawn’s husband, Chip Saxton; and a son-in-law, Ken Payne. Survivors include three daughters: Audrey Payne of Banning, CA, Eleanor (Jim) Stirling of Santa Fe, TX, and Cinda (Dennis) Tysver of Fergus Falls, MN; ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Ethelwyn (Richard) Russell of San Dimas, CA; and a daughter-in-law Shirley Bussian of Edinberg, TX. There will be a time to visit with family and friends one hour before the service at the church.
