Raymond Schnoor

July 7, 1955 — February 11, 2009

Raymond Elmer Schnoor, 53, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.  He was born July 7, 1955, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the son of Lloyd and Grace Jensen, and was adopted in 1965 by Arnold and Anna (Holte) Schnoor. He attended school in Fergus Falls. Over the years Ray held various jobs, including farming, and working at Rosenblatts, the U. S. Fish and Wildlife, and the Fergus Falls Regional Treatment Center. In May of 1989 he began working for what is now Sara Lee Bakery. On July 8, 1978, he married Debra Bengtson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, where they continued to make their home. Ray loved to play guitar, repair things, was a gun collector and gunsmith, and enjoyed many outdoor activities including camping, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Fergus Falls Rifle and Pistol Club. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Richard Jensen, and an infant son, Arnold. Survivors include his wife, Debra, of Fergus Falls; four sons: Lucas, Quentin, and Wade Schnoor, all of Fergus Falls, and Nells Schnoor of Orlando, Florida; two daughters: Rebecca Schnoor of St. Paul, and Veronica (Neil) Sletten of Fergus Falls; six sisters: Patsy, Donna, June, Linda, Paulette, and Danelle; four brothers: Gene, Leo, Ronald, and Keith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
