Lorna Evelyn Young, 65, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at her residence, under the care of Lakeland Hospice. She was born August 10, 1946, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the daughter of Kenneth and Evelyn (Johnson) Zenner. She went to school in Arthur, North Dakota, and graduated from Sheyenne High School in 1964. On June 5, 1965, she married Richard “Dick” Young in Rapid City, South Dakota. They made their home in the Grand Forks area until 1996, at which time they moved to Fergus Falls. She loved antiques, and was a partner with Classic Antiques in Fergus Falls. Lorna enjoyed gardening and reading, and had a passion for design. She was a big UND hockey fan, and she also loved following her grandsons’ hockey games in Fergus Falls. She always looked forward to the time spent at the family cabin on Otter Tail Lake, and loved to drive to Oregon to be with her family there. She was a member of the Antiquarian Group in the Fergus Falls area. Preceding her in death were her parents, and her sister-in-law, Ellen. Survivors include her husband, Dick, of Fergus Falls; two sons: Jeff (Cyndi) Young of Fergus Falls, and Brian (Noemie) Young of Portland, OR; four grandsons: Declan and Isaac of Fergus Falls, and Calder and Kieran of Portland, OR; one brother, Larry Zenner of Fergus Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials are preferred to Lakeland Hospice. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service, and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
